When you install an eligible solar system, you receive STCs which can be traded to reduce your upfront system cost — typically around $1,700 for a 6.6kW system up to about $3,400 for 13kW in 2026 (estimate at roughly $38 per STC for Sydney; the amount varies with system size and STC price, and falls each year).
